Rajasthan Safai Karmchari Recruitment 2026: 24,752 Vacancies, No Educational Qualification Required

Big news for youth preparing for government jobs in Rajasthan. The Autonomous Government Department, Jaipur, Rajasthan Government has released the official notification for Direct Recruitment 2026 for Contractual Safai Karmachari (Sanitation Worker) posts. Under this recruitment, a total of 24,752 posts of sanitation workers will be filled in various municipal bodies across the state.

The special thing about this recruitment is that no educational qualification has been prescribed for the post of Safai Karmachari. However, candidates must have 1 year of experience in the prescribed sanitation work. Eligible candidates can apply online from August 15, 2026, to September 28, 2026.

Total Vacancy

A total of 24,752 Safai Karmachari posts have been allocated across various municipal bodies in Rajasthan.

The notification provides complete municipality-wise details of posts. For example, 4,811 posts in Jaipur, 890 in Jodhpur, 1,357 in Kota, 426 in Alwar, and 407 in Udaipur have been allocated. Separate posts have also been allocated for municipal bodies in scheduled areas.

Educational Qualification

In this recruitment, no educational qualification has been prescribed for the post of Safai Karmachari. This means candidates are not required to be 10th or 12th pass.

However, applicants must have 1 year of experience in sanitation work as per the prescribed rules.

According to the notification, candidates with 1 year of sanitation work experience in a municipal body can apply. The experience certificate must be in the prescribed format and issued after August 1, 2026.

Age Limit

Candidates belonging to reserved categories and other special categories will be given relaxation in the maximum age limit as per Rajasthan Government rules.

Salary

Selected candidates will be paid a remuneration of ₹7,410 per month for the post of Contractual Safai Karmachari.

This remuneration has been fixed as per the Labour Department’s notification dated December 13, 2024.

Selection Process

In this recruitment, candidates will not be selected on the basis of a written examination. According to the notification, eligible candidates will be selected through a lottery process.

The lottery process will be conducted through an online software developed by the Rajasthan Government. First, eligible candidates having 1 year of sanitation work experience in the concerned municipal body will be included in the lottery. If seats remain vacant, candidates with 1 year of experience from other municipal bodies may also be included as per rules.

An important rule has been set for candidates in this recruitment. Candidates can apply for only one municipal body of their choice. If any candidate applies to more than one municipal body, all their applications will be canceled. Therefore, choose the municipal body carefully while applying.
